Fit Tips For Your Children

Tip 1. All children need to exercise 60 minutes every day, but not necessarily at one. Try 10 minutes "bite sized" pieces, like walking the dog with your family in the evenings.

Tip 2. Most children do not get enough omega-3 fatty acids, which are important for heart health. Add fatty fishes, nuts, and flax meal into their diet regularly.

Tip 3. Make sure your child eats dark red and blue fruits like blueberries, raspberries, cranberries and pomegranates. They contain anthocyanins that have many more times the antioxidant power of vitamin c.

Tip 4. In addition to being rich with antioxidants, apples and apple juice also have another major health benefit. New research indicates that apple products may help boost brain function and improve memory.

Help your children maintain an active and healthy lifestyle. Put these and other healthy tips to practice each day.
