Healthy Habits for the Family

"To eat an apple going to bed, will make the doctor beg his bread."

More evidence suggest that an apple a day will help keep the doctor away.
Apples are a good nutritious snack for our children and for adults to eat daily, in fact one apple has the effect of 1500 mg of vitamin C.

Studies show that and apple a day can help reduce the risk for some types of cancer, lower cholesterol and help in maintaining weight. All good reasons to enjoy this healthy fruit each and every day.

Sometimes it can be hard to get children to eat certain fruits and veggies. Encourage them to eat apples by being a little creative. Top the apple with peanut butter, serve the apple with cheese or make a nice fruit dip for your child to dip the apple slices into.

Remember that as you encourage healthy habits for your child, model those same habits. They learn not always from what you say, but from what you do.
